Loved Sofia in this episode, she kicked ass and took names.

I followed this series up to this episode thinking it was a half decent, not particularly original Scandi thriller. The usual gloom atmosphere, grey landscape, frozen water, icy messed-up characters who cannot emote. Add some sort of estate development dirty business and a bunch of freaks and you have all the ingredients.

To make things slightly hotter, Sofia the female detective main character is a blonde who belongs more to a fashion magazine than to the police department and she has family trouble. So far the investigation on a murder was sort of moving along, despite Sofia's trouble with step-daughter and son, but this episode is a mighty bore of a filler, going full feminist on Sofia being feisty, shooting a guy without warning, punching a kid, destroying private property and bossing her colleague around.

This last part is particularly puzzling because I doubt that it is standard police procedure to just dump a case you're investigating to help a colleague you don't particularly like chasing after her runaway step-daughter. Yet we're supposed to cheer for Sofia because she's so ballsy and always gets her way... to me she's just rude, arrogant, aggressive, definitely not a team player and someone who should be kicked out from the force.
