Valhalla was written, practiced, and a storyboard was created within one week. C.J. photographed exact camera angles and listed each shot so that Alex Emtemark could do the filming, and C.J. could act unhindered. The entire shoot took only 3 hours, and C.J. acted all of Drek's parts while speaking to no one, as C.J. also played the role of Caleb, whose voice was added in post-production.
