- In the taxis that crisscross the city, day or night, we hear the voices that escape their car radios-voices of the poets of the world, who express themselves in myriad tongues they weave, with the music, throughout the film, a dream world. This radiophonic fantasy merges with the screen fiction. The voices of men from « beyond » resonate in the faces, in the eyes of people, in the eyes of the man sleeping rough there, under the bridge. In this film, there are several small stories in parallel. There is an old photographer who roams the city in a kind of artistic wandering. This is the famous photographer Edouard Martinelli. There is another photographer, much younger, who, disappointed by the staging of Robert Doineau's « The kiss », has sworn to photograph a couple of real-life lovers, unstaged. He meets Olga, a beautiful Russian actress, with whom he falls in love... Then, an amateur photographer meets his model to photograph her for the first time in parks around Paris. The model is a young woman who studies philosophy in Paris. The photographer runs after her... On the banks of the Seine, a musician sidles Caterina, his dream woman. Until one day his ideal invites him to join her in the real world. It exists ! It's true ! She is in Paris acting in a play by Marguerite Duras. « Radio nuit Paris » is an imaginary world where billboards are the paintings of Picasso, of Modigliali... At night, Paris'Taxi radios broadcast a show whose poets voices' haunt the night. Through their windscreens opens a world colored by the lights of the night.
