The Return of Franco
Two Cats in the Canaries (2017)
*** (out of 4)
This ten-minute interview with director Jess Franco was filmed before his death in 2013 and released to Blu-ray in 2017 on the TWO FEMALE SPIES WITH FLOWERED PANTIES release. Franco talks about the locations used in the film including believing one might have been the home to Christopher Columbus. From here he talks about the two lead actresses not complaining about the nudity, what he liked about the story, how the crew were a nightmare to work with and his overall thoughts on the picture. If you're a fan of Franco then you know that these featurettes with him were priceless so it was great when Severin announced that they had another one that had been unreleased. This doesn't go into great details on the film in question but it's certainly a nice listen.
