"Kapture" is a Canadian English-language short film from August 2017, so it is almost half a year old now and here we have another Oats Studios production by South African Oscar nominee Neill Blomkamp. This one returns a bit to the glory of District 9 as we have a mockumentary with shaky cam in here and even if you need to look twice to really see it, this is an animated movie. Shame the voice actors aren't credited here on imdb (yet) as they did a decent job. Animation's really good too and the story is a bit on the sadistically insane side. But I cannot deny it is also fairly entertaining as we watch two scientists and their human guinea pig in here. All in all, slightly under 5 minutes of decent filmmaking. Go check them out and there may be more coming out in the next months starring this duo of scientists. I must admit there is some stuff by Oats Studios I didn't like too much, but this one here I do and I hope they got more animation coming up in the future. Watch it.

Interesting Watch

An interesting couple of shorts set in a lavatory. The 'found footage' style of horror really worked great with this kind of media and the gore was minimal which is nice to see in a genre that is over saturated in gore.
The animation/GCI was really realistic and had to be pointed out to me although I'm not quite sure why it was used.
Otherwise it was unusual and very different form the things I usually watch.
Would Recommend if there was more content to watch.

Really particular, strange and funny animated short that shows two scientists experimenting with weapons on prisoners, for the whole short there is a strange feeling because you never know whether to laugh or not and therefore we remain bewildered.

KAPTURE is Neill Blomkamp's jet-black send-up of the latest in military technology. It shows how to deal with those pesky "enemy combatants", making the most out of a single shot.
Viciously humorous, the wonky, CGI technicians are the only semi-flaw, as they are somewhat distracting. Otherwise, it's a hoot...
