Ghost in the Family

We came across this movie while looking for something to watch one night. It started off a little slow and looked kinda corny, but we stuck with it. We are so glad we did, You have to watch it until the end. It is very heart touching.

This is an odd film, but ends up on the right side of odd. It's A little creaky on the direction and so the acting is a B rating. But the premise is interesting and I found myself enjoying that there was no melodramatic tension artificially written into the script. Instead the dramatic arc focused on how and why this ghost came to be, why they were tethered in one place and what you actually do if you have one in your house that won't seem to go away. One of the living charcters is as medium, which also comes in handy in the story. In the end, this is a fun story with a plausible premise. Even though the solution is currently far-fetched, it might be true in the future. Fun.

While technical sound issues immediately threaten to derail the viewing experience, this film perseveres, offering a story with heart. Some reviewers have found the acting to be stiff, but perseverance may be rewarded.

The film's comedic elements are a mixed bag. While some jokes land squarely, others find humor in the unintentionally awkward, particularly with the family's ghost communication device.

Despite its flaws, the film tackles themes of loss and redemption with sincerity. Like the story it tells, the movie ultimately finds a way to overcome its shortcomings and leave a lasting impression.

I really wanted to like this movie because it had an interesting premise but overall, it was pretty boring.

William David Glenn IV has done it again. While at first I expected nothing more than an average horror film, the truth is actually something even scarier. The horrible audio peaking had me biting my fingernails. The wooden acting had me shaking in my boots. And the boring and predicable plot had me at the edge of my seat. An incredible thriller, absolutely worth the $1.25 I paid at the dollar store.
