Everything is open for comedy, but not every joke is funny. Here's the proof
Rob-O-Cop15 July 2018
Christina's comedy special was not without its funny moments but it's clear Christina is an advocate of the 'Nothing is out of bounds' for comedy objectives, and to a degree I think that probably is the case, but that doesn't mean all topics are great for comedy, or that an average comedian can pull a laugh out of a taboo subject and not fall flat on their face, and there's a few pristine examples of that here. Mental illness is a tough one to find the right tone on to mock, and Christina's love of the school yard obvious hung her by the neck here, her Dick Clark piece came across like teenage bullies picking on the deformed kid behind the bike sheds. and there was plenty more where that came from. While pretending to be the thinking caring persons champion she regularly took the exact opposite position to demonise the underdog and hammer home a rhetoric point. I didn't hate her but I thought she let herself down on many occasions. Comedy can and should be risky, but it shouldn't be stupid about it.

Wonderful timing
vincent_comeau19 October 2017
This was a delight, in a society full of oversensitive people, she gets it, i personally thought this was such a breath of fresh air, in a world full of false pretentious people obsessed with themselves. Her comedic timing is absolutely brilliant, and i just thought it was completely magical.

People think this is funny? Really?

I listen a lot to Netflix is a joke on Sirius radio. When I start hearing a female comedian spewing witless dreck, I check the name and Christina P is frequently the performer in question. Some fans compare her to Amy Schumer because they are both -- blond? Around the same age? Schumer is brilliant, while P. -- one wonders who keeps allowing her near a microphone.

Solid GenX Commentary with Jokes
jdavis-9568418 August 2018
Christina Pazsitsky is a brilliant social commentator who exploits the gap between generation x and millennials to create a funny and especially memorable Netflix experience.

This is what happened to that hot super smart goth chick you knew in high school. She went to Oxford , started a stand up career and somehow found time to have a baby with Tom Segura.

Not Funny
j-lacerra19 April 2019
I never heard of this comic, and after watching part of her special I can understand why: she is not funny. Just the same boring litany of female anatomy references with a surprisingly unfunny sprinkling of observational 'humor'.

Not funny. Not smart. Just gross. Disgustingly gross.
arthousefilms-68-93971715 October 2017
Trust me, I can handle vulgarity. I'm a huge fan of stand-up comedy and also a fan of the likes of Louis CK and Amy Schumer. But folks, this comedy special of Christina Pazsitsky is completely gross and unfunny.

Comedy is funny when it is smart and insightful. This special is just horrible. Pazsitsky relies on topping each "joke" about an orifice, with another take on a different orifice that is even viler.

Joan Rivers had plenty of vulgarity in her routines, but it was smart. Louis CK and Amy Schumer are the same, smart. (Although their 2017 specials were about as gross as Pazitsky's). But if you look at the body of CK or Schumer's work, they are very smart and offer clever observations.

Pazsitsky, however, is completely unfunny in this special; merely describing body fluids, body function, and sexual mechanics is trite, sophomoric, and annoying.

Her interactions with the audience during the show were cringe-worthy and embarrassing to watch.

It's like she had no clever observations to transform into comedy so she went for the big laugh by talking existentially about the body and sex, as if the just uttering a vulgar sentence is automatically supposed to be a laugh riot. Nothing in this is funny. I was deeply put off by her daft insulting of the audience's intelligence.

She's an appealing person with decent comic delivery, but the "comedy" out of her mouth was nothing more than futilely trying to max out the shock meter. But that "shock" had no effect other than to make me want to immediately cleanse my palette with some good old-fashioned Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, or Chelsea Handler.

I hope this special gets buried and never surfaces again.

It's like the more funny Tom gets
cameronbilbrey23 February 2019
The less funny Christina gets. There's nothing is dislike more about a comic than one who rides the coat tails of people they know to success.

Christina P is NOT funny. Her crass tone isn't funny, her copycat performance of amy Schumer isn't funny, her podcast isn't funny, and her "special" will undoubtedly go down as one of the least watched female comic specials in Netflix history.

A Woman Apart
majorourke18 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Christina P. is a female comic with a dark sense of humor who refuses to be forced to choose between the classic "madonna/whore" stereotype that many female comedians are shoehorned into. She talks about being a mother and parenthood from the perspective of a true individual, rather than having her femininity being shtick or a burden. She also covers other topics like selfies, lack of bjs post marriage, Midwestern dads, GILFS, her own hardcore Eastern Block parents and an especially hilarious insight into what happens when you tell little boys not to cry. I look forward to seeing what she does next.

A note: Christina P does use vulgar language, but honestly if you're a fan of comedy you won't be shocked by anything she says. Some people may not be ready to hear a woman talk like Louis CK or Tom Segura (her husband), but if what she is saying is insightful and honest then hopefully they can accept it for what it is: funny.

Ugh...
kearney-0870223 March 2022
Christina is so unfunny. She has the comedic sensibility of a 12 year old boy. I personally can't stand her, she brings the YMH podcast down, too. I don't understand why people seem to like her.

Arthousefilms
robalkern19 October 2017
I thought she did a great job and was very original. I am a huge fan of stand up. I grew up where bob and tom radio was founded and listened to them for 20 years. If you know the show then you know they are famous for getting stand up comics name out there. Every day they would have a stand up comedian regulars such as daniel tosh, george lopez, frank caliendo and many more who would appear regularly before gaining fame. These comedians at one time or another were in the same shoes as Christina P. Arthousefilms clearly doesn't understand stand up as he or she referenced amy schumer who has been busted as stealing 90% of her material from other stand ups mainly ones that didn't rise to fame. Also arthousefilms talks about the vulgarity of her stand up but finishes by saying he would rather watch sarah silverman who is by far the grossest female stand up out there, come on man don't complain about someones style then say you're going to watch someone else who is far worse. Christina did a great job with originality which is what you want from a stand up comedian something fresh and new. If want a comedian without the vulgarity then marathon Jim Gaffigan he is great without vulgar material. All the greats are vulgar in one way or another. Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Bob Saget, all huge stars with far worse material.

The patriarchy coming out of the mouth of a woman. Degradation of women sells I guess. Wonder how much brainwashing it takes to stand up and spew lies for money.

So Goooood
skaiiflowerninja8 November 2017
Mummy Tina did an amazing job with this so! spitting so many truths! She's talking about the realities of being a mum, a wife, the expectations the people in our lives have and the expectations we have of ourselves. Mother inferior is one of my favorite comedy specials of all time. It means even more that it was for mummys!

this is about as funny as an abortion
merrilltrentens7 September 2022
If your blind and deaf you might enjoy this. Jokes should be creative. Shock humor is situational. Like, "oh my god did she just say that?" that only goes so far. The funniest jokes are clever. Not shock humor. Not this. This is not clever. Observational humor and shock humor should not make up your entire special. I watch her and toms pod cast and she is just not as funny as him. I think women are funny. I think a funny women comic is better than a funny man comic because she is swimming against the prejudice current. A woman has to be so much greater to make it in that business. But she just is not one of the funny woman comics. She rides her husband's coat tails in my opinion. I want to like her considering how cool tom is... but i just don't. Tom is one of those rich people that you could mistake for being a poor person by the way he acts. He is one of the few rich people that i think that money and fame has not changed who he is. I wish his wife could be this cool. Now i do not hate her. But i do dislike her. I dislike this special. I dislike bert as well. I think bert would be cooler if he was sober. I think that fact that i spoke so much about tom and the fact that i even mentioned bert speak volumes about this special. This special is the type of thing you put on for background noise while you have sex. Something that you do not watch but you still have on the tv.

If you like comics that "act crazy" weird voices...
privategalender18 July 2022
I prefer stand up that just has good jokes, zingers, stories with great punch lines, play on words--I'm not into slapstick comedy. If you like slapstick you might enjoy her routine. I can tolerate some of it mixed into a routine, but the silly voices she "over used" made me almost hate the routine. I thought the voices were really bad, other than when she spoke as her father--that was simply a deep accented voice versus the screeching pterodactyl voice (and faces) she made the rest of her routine. She reminded me of a very exaggerated version of Iliza Shlesinger, whose voices/face making I don't care for either but don't hate as I did here with Christina. I think I may have appreciated about 15% of her routine, but actually hated a larger percentage. This was my first (and will be last) time watching comedian.

She's BRILLIANT. I'm happy to report she's as funny as her husband.
tubezzz30 March 2018
What can i say? every now then i go into a comic bender and watch a bunch of comics trying to find a gem, which is really tedious since i only find like 15% of all comics i check out to be funny. Anyway, Christina Pazsitzky just made my list of favorite comics (which already contained her husband, Tom Segura).

She's the only female on my all time favorites list. there are 2-3 girl comics i like, but she's just better.

silly Arthousefilms review
pbguy-490791 November 2017
the Arthousefilms review is just some salty liberal who hates the Fact Christina picked on sjw's & millennials... The review says they are a fan of the joke thief garbage Amy Schumer.. that should tell you all you need to know about there taste in comedy totally low & loose! They claim Christina is filthy but they live in San Fran, a place where the streets are lined with dirty needles, human waste & knowingly passing aids isn't a crime! America is over the echo chamber liberals & there crocodile tears! Mother Inferior is great & had me cracking up constantly! I can't wait till her next special... till then I'll be chillin at your moms house!

A very funny comedic approach to Motherhood
youngmanrunning-318801 September 2018
Christina gives a fresh and honest opinion to growing up with a Dad who is not into feelings and the hell of giving birth. Is it clean comedy, no. So if foul language offends you, then best you don't watch. But if your into it, enjoy and have a good laugh. She knows how to make fun of herself, and does it well.

Snowflakes Beware

Christina is a delight. Her humor is primarily female-centric. She goes into details from the woman's point of view. And my wife thinks that she is the grossest female comic there ever was.

Good one!
Valid_ID14 May 2022
I enjoyed this Netflix special much more than the more recent one called "Mom Genes", perhaps because I could relate.

"Mother Inferior" is clean - for the most part, and has witty humor.

Most jokes are about Gen X and Millennials.

There's no nonstop laughter, obviously, but the jokes are intelligent, and a little bit goofy. IMO this is Christina P.'s best show.
