"It was more of an experiment than a movie"
moornay12 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, that was the writer (Northrup Loyd) said, AND I AGREE! Seriously guys, don't waste your money and time to see this 'experiment'. The pace is so slow, and I hate the tone, kinda blackish-blurrish, trying to be thriller much? Maybe this is successful as an experiment, but failed miserably as a movie. There is an on-going series with this kind of A.I. human-like, please go see that series instead and avoid this! Definitely don't deserve 6 stars. C'mon people!

Conspiracy BS
pkdyer196525 December 2019
This is what you get with a low budget, terrible actors and a plot that a 4 year old could write. From the opening scene with a amnesiac neurotic woman you know this going to be dross. If Jason Bourne had been in this he would have ended it after 10 minutes and spared us torturing ourselves watching it. Don't do it, the worst conspiracy film I have ever seen and I love this genre.

Pass

Again, 6.9 rating for a 3.9 one? Please audit the rating. The first half hour can cut for 5 mins, why waste so much time on nothing to delivery? Just a crazy woman wandering for first 30 mins, oh gosh.....

Some experiments fail.
alberto-5691714 February 2020
And some, like this one, fail spectacularly and abysmally. How anyone imagined that this was a good idea is difficult to fathom. The experiment might have had a remote chance of being moderately adequate if they had "cast" actual, even barely semi-competent actors with some kind of improvisational ability instead of apparently recruiting random laymen off the street. Avoid.

Impressive, but...
shortecrx26 December 2019
I like the idea of the main character doing this with no script or guidance, that's perfect for an amnesia victim. But all the supporting characters should have been given more. Them bumbling about was completely aparant and took me out of the story. Overall this was really well done, aside from that.

Alternate title: A Dull Grind To Nowhere
bitbucketchip19 October 2021
Amnesiacs rejoice! This movie starts off slow but is unable to keep pace and slows to a crawl. You can doze off at any point confident you will not miss a thing.

The basic premise is a lousy actress awakens in a motel room and tries to figure out what is going on. It soon becomes apparent that the answer is: nothing. Nothing is going on. Nevertheless, the lousy actress remains stumped for the bulk of the film.

The lead actress is terrible. I assume the only reason she got the part is because she produced and co-wrote (someone wrote this?!) this mess.

One star for an experiment. Zero stars because it should have ended up on the cutting room floor. One star.

Intimate and full of suspense
ListenToChris29 December 2019
There were two reviews here at the time we decided to try it - one really bad, one mediocre. We decided to give it a try and see how far we watched. In the event, we watched the whole movie and enjoyed it. It was well acted, the storyline kept us interested and the single camera approach made it feel intimate and full of suspense.

Not Worth Your Time

There's a reason why a screenplay is important. This was just a poor excuse to use cameras and lighting.
