This is a two part PBS mini-series. It is hosted by wildlife biologist Liz Bonnin, mountaineer Jon Gupta, and actress Freida Pinto in separate segments. There are small sections of this crowded subcontinent where wild nature still has roots with the help of the local population. Quite frankly with all the animals, the most memorable may be the guys painted as tigers. Their bellies painted as tiger heads are unforgettable. In the end, true wilderness in India is rare and isolated. There are nature reserves and less populated places like the mountains. It's good to know that these places still exist and nature still has a fighting chance.
