Pete came up with the idea after supporting the Monkees in the 60's. He wanted to replicate the idea of a zany band, only this time with older members in a band as opposed to young.
Pete Tindal was an original member of 60's Australian band 'The Cherokees' who had many hits in the UK charts and Australian charts. Pete has since launched a new Cherokees band in the UK as of 2014. The aim is to play a few live appearances along with promoting the film.
The 30 minute TV special is only One of three parts. The subsequent 90 minute film release will be aimed at showings in limited cinemas across the UK. The actual three part 30 minute TV shows will be aired on Independent regional TV stations across Scotland, Ireland and the UK.
Much of the film (90 minute version) contains scenes which are largely shot in an 'ad-lib' mode as the producers felt that this would add more realism and authenticity to the bands plight.
Songs played out by the band throughout the film are compositions actually written by The Cherokees.
