Warner Bros Discovery has signed a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with Taiwan Mobile and Taiwan Creative Content Agency (Taicca) to create and distribute Taiwanese original content locally and across international markets.
While details of specific projects have yet to be announced, Warner Bros Discovery has previously produced several scripted and unscripted Taiwanese shows over the past five years, including The Teenage Psychic, Dream Raider, Trinity Of Shadows, The World Between Us, Adventure Of The Ring and Who’s By Your Side.
The shows are available through regional streaming service HBO Go in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

HBO Asia has ordered Dream Raider, an eight-episode sci-fi original drama series for premiere in 2019. Filmed and set entirely in Taiwan, the hour-long Mandarin series features an all-star Taiwanese cast including Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄) (The Devil Fish 《人面魚:紅衣小女孩外傳》), David Wang (王耀慶) (Project Gutenberg 《無雙》) and Jason Wang (王識賢) (Gatao 2-The New Leader Rising 《角頭2:王者再起》).
Principal photography is under way on the series, which is executive produced by Hong Kong filmmaker, Cheang Pou-Soi (鄭保瑞). Dream Raider will be available on HBO Asia’s on-air, online and on-demand platforms.
