Jase and Simon are back for a Cape York adventure starting at Mornington Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria. The trucks take the barge, and the boys take the big boat out to the island with fishing along the way.
On Mornington Island, Tommy takes the boys to Plane Wreck Beach to explore WWII history with a few bogs along the way. They go crabbing for their lunch. Once the weather clears, the team make a run by big boat over to an island rookery.
There's more to see and do on Mornington Island with fishing, history and offroading to entertain the boys. Jase and the team visit sites with dark histories, but obstacles await on the boggy mudflats and tree-covered beach paths.
The team take off for Sweers Island on their way back to the mainland. The island is full of rich history, ancient caves and amazing reef fishing. With so much to see onshore and offshore, what an epic way to end the Wellesley Island trip.
The boys meet up with old mate PJ who has one of the steepest and longest driveways in Australia and a driveshaft pays the price. PJ also has access to an abandoned gold mine and a secret spot for jungle perch in the freshwater creeks.
The boys hit the hardcore Starcke Track on their way to Ellerton Beach to honour the men who lost their lives there. But making the trek after a big wet season proves to be difficult for the team.
The team meets up with old mate and traditional owner Sam on the east coast of Cape York to tackle a cyclone-ravaged track through his country to the Nesbit River. But going is slow with days of chain-sawing and hardcore river crossings.
The boys take the big boat to explore Morris Island and later hit the road to Lockhart River. The area had been hit by a recent cyclone which left downed trees and debris between them and a beach plane wreck and underground bunker.
The team head back to the west coast of Cape York to meet up with old mate Jesse in Pormpuraaw where they have a fishing competition. They meet up with a local crocodile farmer and bull catcher who invites them along to wrangle wild bulls.
