It's been nearly a decade since "asdfmovie" was posted to Thomas Ridgewell's sketch comedy-focused YouTube channel "TomSka". Since the video went viral, "asdfmovie" received some much anticipated sequels and Ridgewell has established himself as a popular artist on the platform and garnered much respect from his peers, as some consider him a YouTube pioneer. Let me preface this by saying that I've been on YouTube for a very long time and I watched every new installment to the "asdfmovie" series at release and, after all these years, I'm still not amused. The latest entry in this series is as witless as it's predecessors and didn't elicit a single laugh from my friends and I. As always, Ridgewell relies only on scattershot humor, inside jokes he established in previous videos, and his borderline-famous guests (most notably Jacksepticeye, Jacksfilms, Dan Howell, and Phil Lester) to woo his followers. Humor is relative, but I firmly believe that random does not equal funny. If my memory serves me correctly, Jack Douglass ("Jacksfilms") has expressed similar views more than once. I wonder if he changed his outlook on humor or was just doing a favor for a friend.
