The opening match between Louis Spicolli vs. Mike Awesome was omitted from releases.
The Sandman (Jim Fullington) defeated D-Von Dudley (Devon Hughes). After the match, ring announcer Joel Gertner announced D-Von as the "winner", and Sandman caned him. D-Von attacked the Sandman and beat him up with the Singapore cane. Then Buh Buh Ray Dudley (Mark LoMonaco) and Spike Dudley (Matt Hyson) ran in and confronted D-Von, with Buh Buh Ray holding a chair. Buh Buh Ray swung the chair...and hit The Sandman with it. Spike was shocked at his "brother"'s action. Spike then tried fighting both Buh Buh Ray and D-Von until they hit what would become known as the Dudley Death Drop or 3D. Commentator Joey Styles called it a "Double Bubba Cutter." D-Von had made his surprise ECW debut at "Massacre on Queens Blvd." on April 13, 1996, when the Dudleys (Buh Buh Ray/Big Dick Dudley (Alex Rizzo)/Chubby Dudley (Bay Ragni)/Dances With Dudley (Alfonso Bermudez)/Sign Guy Dudley (Lou D'angeli)) were comedic faces, and he went about the business of making them serious. He would purge Chubby and Dances With Dudley. Buh Buh Ray's turn here was the culmination of D-Von's corrupting him, marking the formation of the tag team The Dudley Boys as the world would know them from that point forward.
