Well-acted romantic drama
lor_16 November 2018
Jade Nile is irresistible and India Summer displays her nonpareil acting chops in this Sweet Sinner release. It is unusual in that the screenplay is by Nica Noelle, founder of the label who left 3 years earlier, directed here by her successor James Avalon.

And his direction is deft, limning a simple story of inter-generational attraction. Steven St. Croix, who is a fixture playing various characters in this "Forbidden Affairs" series, falls for Jade, who is visiting his parents played by India and Steven. There is friction between St. Croix and the young girl at first, but given the structure of these Adult romances their landing together in the sack in the final reels is inevitable.

Story is fleshed out by Jade seeking advice from her BFF Jodi Taylor, giving rise to a flashback of how Jodi enjoyed an affair with an older man herself - the father of HER boyfriend, played by Marcus London. So why not follow suit, thinks Jade?

Logan Pierce as the leads' son gets to sample Jade's wares, and India strays from hubby by humping one of her employees, played by Erik Everhard.

It's simple but effective musical beds, executed with the usual Sweet Sinner sincerity.
