Despite playing characters in a love relationship, leading performers Aisling Hunter and Jon Tamburini never share any screen time, and never met during the shoot.
Loosely based on true events: director C.J. Lazaretti does have a bite scar from a similar incident during his childhood. He was bitten by a tortoise, though, not a turtle.
No actual turtles appear in the film at any point.
First film to use sound recording and audio post-production facilities supplied by the Glasgow School of Art under an agreement between that institution and independent filmmaking network Glasgow Film Crew.
Actor John Wilde was invited to perform the voiceover narration for the movie because of a similar role in short film Blues in the Night (2017). C.J. Lazaretti is the editor for the latter film, and was impressed with Wilde's performance as a disembodied voice. Both films, ironically, went on to receive their world premieres at the 2017 Glasgow Short Film Festival, on the same date.
