- The life and miracles of the first Saint of the Americas, Saint Rose of Lima (performed by Milagros Lopez Arias) is told in 5 episodes her childhood and live devotion to God and her fight against Spanish Inquisition. A co production series based on the real canonization process of the Saint. First episode describes the death of the Saint and real characters that surrounded her passing. Rose as a grown up requires protection by sponsors family "De la Maza" (performed by Ana Maria Estrada and Rafael Sanchez). This episode will also display her love and compassion for the poor, black slaves and her disputes with her mother Maria de Oliva (performed by Cecilia Tosso). Her good connections with other illuminate such as Luisa Melgarejo (Nathalie Tolentino), Ines la Voladora etc. Second episode tells her childhood and adolescence, the participation of Dr. Juan del Castillo (performed by Luis Galli) increases as he will interrogate her on behalf of Saint Inquisition. Second episode also depicts costumes of the time such as fortune tellers e.g. Mama Juana (performed by Inma Heredia) and evil attitude of Inquisitor Francisco Verdugo (performed by Oswaldo Salas). Third episode focus on the Saint's trail: representing the Inquisition accusing her of being a witch and heresy is Dr. Baltazar de Padilla (performed by Gustavo Mc Lenan) and her defense on behalf of Dr. Juan del Castillo (Luis Galli) and a Church representative monk (Willy Noriega). Fourth episode tells the story of Saint Rose followers and the danger being caught by the Inquisition. Rose's sacrifices and her revelation to Dr. DelCastillo after her death. Fifth and last episode tells the death of the Saint, her passing to eternal life and the wining of case against the Inquisition. As she foretold in life Dr. del Castillo will only win but will become a monk abandoning science and honors and Madame de la Maza will preserve the important documents written by the Saint.
