I am not crazy about the idea of this final season of The Last Ship essentially being Narcos-lite, but this was not a bad episode at all. They gave us a sense of what the villains are going to be like this year, but they need to do more to get me hooked in.

Good, but it can be better.

Not a great follow-up to the first ep

I felt a bit let down after the first episode. This one had action so that's not what was missing, but I think it felt like it wasn't quite as crisp. It did however show where there's a need, the Navy will find a way. Hopefully there will be a bounce back. I also have a suspicion that Granderson's girlfriend is somehow bad.

Still entertaining...BUT

The JAMES can't fight without fire control. Can't see without radar. Why conduct a Doolittle raid when you are THE only active unit? I know JAMES is the star of the show but REALLY? The US Navy currently has over 300 combatants. Only one battle group can fit in Mayport anyway. That leaves tons of ships in Norfolk, San Diego, Washington and Pearl. You're trying to tell me, zero subs and crews survived the red plague? I know...turn off your brain and enjoy the action. Done that for 4 seasons. Only watching the final season because I hate leaving a story incomplete.
