Awesome ending!
darshakjustu5 April 2017
You just don't expect what you think would happen. That is the best part of this show. The finale was completely awesome, well executed and planned. It contained a lot of fun, gory, energetic, time-travel, adventurous, fun-filled moments. In short, it was the best ending I've ever seen in any other DCs. The story line is really vast and vivid. Every episode was completely different from another. Finale brought it all together. thanks for this awesome show. 9.9 from me. I could see the straps on the girls bum when she was lifted up in the air by Damian darhk.

@_@ Dazed and slack-jawed after that ep aka LoT doing finales right

Warning: Spoilers
I need a floaty timetag on each legend to keep track of who is from when.

Ray getting Kali Ma-ed pretty much led the WTHness one after another. But in a GOOD way! Also, propstoRFfiguringoutwhattheywereupto.

...I know future legends are time aberrations...that they have to end...but...they don't deserve this...so good job from the writers making me feel their deaths.

All Hail RF, King of All Villains! And who better to checkmate this king than Black Flash!

Funsies: Jax re Ray's PDA with his Atom suit, everything Mick, everything miniWaverider ("small problem" indeed!), future futureRF trying to explain the situation to pastLegion. (This is where a flowchart would have come in handy...)

That's certainly one way to undo Mick's "betrayal" and Amaya's death. But I'm not feeling Nate staying and Rip leaving. When. It. Should. Have. Been. The. Other. Way. Around. Plus, it made no sense for Rip to leave Gideon after all that setup between the two. This was such a downer to an otherwise amazing ep. This had better be a fake out and he's back on the team next season. Make it happen, writers!!!!

Score: 9.3. Would have been 9.8 if Rip stayed on the team.

Kudos to the writers for such an incredible season, setting things up and FOLLOWING THROUGH on (most of) them so the fallout made sense yet was still surprising at every turn .

Season's MVP: Matt Letscher. He was the undiluted, definitive Eobard Thawne, a character so delightfully smart in his villainy yet so deadly at the same time that he surprises at every turn, gave the story weight, setting challenges from which heroes rise to the occasion. And when his just dessert is served, there's elation but also a sense of loss because such a character is rare and not easily replaced.

Season summary: the writing + Matt Letscher's Eobard Thawne/RF = I was ENTERTAINED. Score: 9.7

Legends Never Die
ThomasDrufke4 April 2017
It was an up and down season for Legends, but I think as a whole it was a huge improvement on what we got last year. And I have no problem admitting that I'm looking forward to what will happen in season 3.

Gone are the days where I complain about Vandal Savage, but the Legion isn't without its problems. In fact, that's probably where my biggest frustration is from this season. They were used sparingly, and when they were used, it was to progress the Legends story. It's a lot like how Marvel studios handles their villains. They aren't written to have their own sensible arcs, they're only there to serve what the writers want the Legends to do. They still had their moments, which isn't surprising given the caliber of actors they got, but that's easily the most disappointing part of season 2.

The one thing I can't complain about with this season is the imagination of the writers. The amount of new places and time periods they were able to cram in was impressive, and they managed to do one more crazy thing tonight. Because of the Doomworld chaos from last week, the Legends were forced to travel back in time once more to 1916 to stop their previous selves from not destroying the spear. Phew, that was a mouthful. I think part of the reason why this approach worked so well this week was due to the tone the episode set. After struggling to find a good balance all season, the humor and heart were impeccably encapsulated this week. Not only did I find the mission poignant (because of the deadly consequences), I laughed and cheered along the way. Tell me you don't find it funny watching Thawne inexplicably delay punching Sara so that she can contemplate using the spear? Or heartbreaking to see Sara officially say goodbye to Laurel?

The Legends race against time turned out just fine as the timeline was restored, Thawne was "killed", Amaya stayed with the team (which could be a big problem for the future Vixen), and even Rip left the team. In other words, it was a finale that I'm okay with. What does this mean for next year, especially with them "breaking the timeline"? I'm not sure that was the best cliffhanger they could have thought of in all honesty. But I can't deny that I'm looking forward to next year already. Hopefully they can improve the villain(s) again and even add a new Legend or two.

+Sara has come a long way as a captain

+Wrapped up with a bang

+Balanced tone

+Amaya stays, Rip leaves

-Thawne always took it a little too easy on the team

-Not the best cliffhanger

That's a pretty convoluted finale, it's really frustrating when the Legends keep doing the exact same thing they said it's forbidden, or it'll disrupt history. Rip overtly warned them that they shouldn't interact with their former selves, if they do there's going to be a big consequences but they did it anyway. And it seemed like they had broken the timeline, using the characters' idiocy to setup a premise for the next season is not bad, I must say.

There were some really cool moments like the Speedster and his former and future selves, it was breathtaking. but then again that scene was a letdown, I mean twenty or so speedsters can't take out the legends in the blink of an eye while they had a pretty tough keeping up with one in the last few episodes? gimme a break.

Sara's scene with her sister, I have to admit, was emotional, she finally gets to say goodbye one last time, and it's always good to see Laurel.

The baddies of this season were pretty good and far more entertaining than that boring Savage of S1, they're equally likable as the Legends, but i just can't shake the feeling that they weren't used to their full potential, I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them next season with different motives, which I'm sure it's not gonna happen. I still like the way it played out here nevertheless.

Nate, Amaya, and Rip left, I hope we'll get interesting characters to fill in their place next season.

Not bad at all
rptileofficial5 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This episode wasn't so bad, but in my opinion Rip Hunter shouldn't have left the team... He was there since the beginning of this series. He assembled them, introduced them to time traveling and he just left all this what he fought for... That's the main mistake in the last episode of season 2. And also we all expected more of season finale.
