Sex & Nudity
-
- Some brief, subtle references, but nothing really that obvious.
Violence & Gore
-
- A group of scientists plan a mass murder-suicide and we see them waiting for a series of packs of dynamite to explode. The lead protagonists manage to escape in time, and the screen cuts away before the explosion, but the implications are disturbing.
- The "monks" have a decayed, mummified appearance reminiscent of a corpse. Non-graphic and somewhat cartoonish.
- Suicide is referenced frequently throughout the course of the episode.
Profanity
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- Multiple references to suicide throughout, with mass suicides being one of the central themes of the episode. Quite dark, and could be disturbing to many viewers, even if most of the more gruesome moments happen offscreen.
- The appearance of the "monks" could be frightening to some viewers due to their decayed, mummified appearances.
- Overall, this is one of the more mature and darker-themed episodes of the season, if not the show in general, and deals with some very poignant and hard-hitting themes (suicide, disability, existentialism).
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- Multiple major characters are disintegrated upon realising that they are in fact holographic clones of their real selves. Not graphic or bloody, but could still be shocking.
- A man commits suicide offscreen from overdosing on pills. We see his hand on the floor with a spilled medication bottle during the latter half of the episode.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- A character commits suicide by overdosing on pills.
