Trivia

'Warhead' and the next installment, 'Trials of the Darksaber' were originally conceived as one episode. During a story pitch in July 2015, the events depicted in Warhead were to be the B-story while those from 'Trials of the Darksaber' would have received more time as the the A-story. Another version teamed Zeb with Rex instead of Chopper and AP-5. See more »

Plot; Zeb is left in charge of the base and must enlist the help of Chopper and AP-5 to stop an Imperial droid programmed to hunt and kill Rebels.

This is your basic filler episode where the story at large screeches to a halt and a one and done, ultimately inconsequential tale (well, mostly), takes place. Here we get a Zeb focused story, and paired with the plucky Chopper and droll AP-5, the tone is on the lighter side. I don't mind the latter, as you've gotta lighten up every now and then, but you can do that and still move the narrative ball down the field a bit more than they do here.
