- Lots of violence throughout. However, the show is very violent and it has very gory images.
- A dog is injured, and someone runs it over with a car to euthanize it. The actual moment is not shown, but you see the car is about to crash the dog and you hear gore.
- A man gets stabbed on the leg and the knife stays there for a while. Later in the episode, he pulls it out and blood starts to spurt out. Not that scary.
- As James fantasizes about killing Alyssa, viewers see it play out in scenes that flash between reality and the bloody act he ponders. He also talks about his murderous desires and describes killings of animals he's done in the past, with victims shown. In one scene he punches his dad; in another he burns his hand in a fry vat. An actual murder occurs and it is bloody. James is sexually molested by an older man in a restroom, while Alyssa is nearly raped.

- Although the series is comedic, it has a dark undertone as well as obvious sad scenes and is emotionally distressing in various incidences.

- This show has sad elements as both the protagonists are very troubled teenagers.

- James is sexually assaulted. This is not graphic.
- A man attempts to rape Alyssa but he is stopped by James.
- James finds a man's camera which shows videos of him raping young girls. It is not graphic, but quite disturbing.
- There is oral sex between two minors, but no nudity and the scene ends quickly.
Violence & Gore
- A man is murdered via stabbed to the neck after attempting to rape a young girl. Tons of blood is shown spewing out of his throat accompanied by the man gagging on his own blood.
- Animal harm. We hear gore, but nothing explicit.
- A girl shoots the two protagonists point blank in the head. The scene is quite bloody, but it turns out that she was only imagining it, and the protagonists are actually safe.
- A girl accidentally kills a man by dropping a loaded gun and falls asleep on top of him. In the morning, she hides him in a wardrobe of her motel room.
- Season 2, like the first season, is also high on violence and full of blood for the entirety of the series.
- A dog dies unexpectedly. You see it lying on the floor whimpering in pain, and it is very emotional.
- Season 1 ends with one of the main protagonists being shot and bleeding out. He is presumed to be dead, but in a later episode, it is revealed that he survived the gunshot.

- A guy is revealed to be a drug dealer.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Man is shown being murdered. This may be intense to some viewers.
- A young boy watches his mom commit suicide by driving her car into a lake. This may frighten some viewers.
- A girl very nearly gets raped by an elder man, this brief scene is very distressing as the girl cries and screams (especially with the viewer's knowledge of the man's highly abusive almost psychotic doings - which we see brief images of throughout the series).
- The very gory images shown throughout the series are distressing and are intense, particularly a man's murder which is particularly gory.
