Visually impressive, but otherwise fairly bland and uninteresting Warning: Spoilers
"Legendy Polskie Operacja Bazyliszek" or "Polish Legends: Operation Basilisk" is a Polish 17-minute live action short film directed by Tomasz Bagisnki. And live action can be added here because Baginski is really mostly known for his animated works by now. This is one of several films about Polish legends that came out late last year I think and were all directed by Baginski. On Youtube, they racked up millions of views in the last 7-8 months, so you can certainly say this project was a success. This one here is about a simple Polish man becoming a bit of a hero when he stands up to a powerful basilisk. Sadly, I must say the protagonist was as bland and uninteresting as it gets. His female co-lead was slightly better and looked like a Polish Keira Knightley. Very stunning. The funniest aspect here was the drunk uncle perhaps who did not really have a lot of material to work with, but was still way more memorable than the hero here. Overall, a solid film in terms of effects and visual side, but story-wise it is not a success. maybe Baginski himself should have worked on the script. I give this one a thumbs-down. Not recommended.

a joke

It reminds "Witcher". For language, for bazylisk. And that is all. Like each piece of serie, visually impressive but the story is reduced at a joke of guys. A man, his nephew, fishing. An event. And so many mistakes - the brave knight is not stoned by creature, his dream has not real sense, the tool against basylisk is hilarious and the end fake. But, sure, it is only a joke.
