Stephen Walker's first day with the BAU coincides with Rossi's birthday, something he no longer celebrates. It's because a serial killer he helped put away named Tommy Yates aka the Womb Raider - so coined because he mutilated his female victims' reproductive organs along with their vocal cords - made a deal with Rossi that once every year, on his birthday, he would divulge the location of one of his missing victims in return for his death sentence being commuted to life in prison without chance of parole. Yates was one of the inmates who escaped during the mass prison break last year, this the first year he's been out since the deal was made. Yates does contact Rossi today, not to divulge the location of one of his old victims, but of his latest victim, killed following the telephone call. She is Jody Wilson, unlike Yates' other victims who all led a high risk lifestyle. For this case, the team enlists the help of the agents in Rossi's latest advanced profiling seminar - by ... Criminal Minds Season 12 Ep 9
6 January 2017 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

I'm sorry but I think everyone can agree that "Criminal Minds" needs new show-runners because if the show keeps going this way, we will be saying goodbye at the end of the current season. First of all, the episode basically only shows Rossi, Emily, and the new guy (Stephen Walker) throughout it and the rest of them only have a few scenes. Spencer is gone, again, which made it so boring. I like the show still even without Hotch or Derek, but what's a Criminal Minds episode without Spencer, Hotch, or Derek? Well this episode didn't feature any of them. Now I know that Spencer is the only one on the show but now he's kinda took over the lead role in the show and he shouldn't miss any episodes, especially if Derek and Hotch are no longer a part of the series. JJ, Garcia, Tara, and Lewis are barely seen. The classroom episodes were very boring and unnecessary. This just didn't feel like a Criminal Minds episode. I didn't even finish it. Hopefully next week's is better. This was a mess.
