- The Royal Military Police must assist special forces on a dangerous mission. Mary Markham experiences complications with her baby's birth and Alison introduces Honor to the BP Club.
- Following Page's murder Markham sends out a raid party on foot to capture Hakim, leading another group to rendezvous with them, along with photo-journalist Martha Franklin. The foot patrol is ambushed and completely wiped out and their mission is a failure, Sergeant Baxter, son of an ailing Great War hero, being particularly affected at seeing a comrade's decapitated head. At the base Alison befriends Honor, taking her to the BP Club where they meet the charismatic Harvey Tilbrook, and incurring Martin's disapproval whilst, after a distressing day, Markham returns to find that his wife has successfully given birth to a son.—don @ minifie-1
- Major Markham, preoccupied with his wife in labor, divides the men in two parties to raid Page's rebel leader murderer Hakim, allowing photo-journalist Martha Franklin to document the action, but that patrol, which climbs on foot, is ambushed and largely wiped out. Hoping on her media impact, Hakim orders one man decapitated in front of Great War veteran's son sergeant Alex Baxter, who had yo be left behind by captain Joe Martin, who destroyed his father's only picture as precaution, due to foot injury. Martin is n't amused that his wife Honor disobeys his instructions to mix with wives of suitable rank by letting Alison Laithwaite introduce her to the in-vogue BP (petroleum company) club, and its charismatic executive Harvey Tilbrook.—KGF Vissers
