Time for elections so that a new congress may be chosen as the
government begin to function once more.
Naturally, on the eve of the voting, it is discovered that terrorists have sent some poison into Kansas which proves fatal to one of the poll workers.
Kirkman considers postponing the elections, but with the daughter of the deceased poll worker giving a passionate plea, and early voting rates enormous, he recants as we see the best of democracy in action.
What's going on with that agent? His son is being held hostage and he is now jailed for espionage? There is plenty of explaining to do before this show goes on winter hiatus.
