Very good look back documentary.

It's really good at explaining how the corporate establishment took over a sporting event and created a global product. Back in history you had your local team, maybe a choice of two. But you turned up at some ramshackle ground week in week out to share the glory or failure of YOUR team. They were usually owned by the local lad who made good or a well established family in the area. Now it's a part of globalisation, the owners and players have no connection to your town or city. This documentary is about the premier league, but it applies to the championship as well. The money and exposure involved makes it an investment worth taking around the globe. This is the gilded era of football, but there would be caveats if referring to a golden era. As for fans, if it costs so much it's only your fault, it's a market and market forces apply. No point moaning if you still turn up and pay, they seem to have found the bubble that doesn't burst.
