I'm trying to watch as many short films as I can right now so that I can improve my short film writing. And also, I want to make my IMDb list of "favorite short films" longer.
Well, this one kinda had a weird premise. Mostly because so many short films are about a couple dating or experiencing a small dilemma. So I kinda thought it just belonged to that category of mediocre short films. But this is one of the best short films I have ever seen. Every single scene is interesting and moves the plot along. All scenes have a conflict and emotion to them. And the actors are spectacular too. The director really needs to be acknowledged for this great work. But whomever did the editing really made it go from good to great. The music was perfect for all emotional context here. This is professional work all around and it must have cost a lot to make.
Of course it helps that I'm a big fan of Jake Gyllenhaal, who I consider to be the greatest actor of all time.
