Poorly Made Zombie Flick

The premise sounded mildly interesting and I love horror, especially zombie movies, but this movie fails on too many levels. One, the characters are boring. I didn't think the actors were terrible, but the writing was. The sets and locations also awful. The children are supposed to be in some kind of research lab deep in the woods but it looks like a community college campus. Another thing that was distracting and baffling was the music. The first "zombie" attack, which should be scary and exciting, there is complete lack of music, so we're stuck with actors yelling and it's very underwhelming. Another scene there's classical music playing. Low budget doesn't always have to equate to garbage but Dead Sunrise is. Pass on this.

I am pretty sure the same person loaded the 550 positive 10 star poorly written ratings. Confusing, slow but not the worst out there for a free Prime stream.

This movie was absolutely the worst thing ever. I hate that you all made me watch this with troll reviews. Please save yourself the pain and avoid this movie unless you're inebriated.

It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Loses an Eye

Michael is depressed so off he goes into the woods camping with friends, lousy beer, and all kinds of things that crawl and bite. They are lead to the laboratory of child re-animator who behave similarly to zombies.

The characters were never really developed. Deb (Georgina Neville) was the only character I liked. I was confused by the whole seemingly unscripted moth scene. The dialogue made the film bad as well as the sound track as they didn't know what non-English song to play next? Omen style? Opera? Classical? Death metal? They played seriously depressing music while they came up with all kinds of different ways to kill the kids. At this point they needed something whimsical and fun. They went the wrong way at that point. The whole Michael and his child thing came across as idiotic.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

The "10" reviews are obviously "puff" ...either friends or production staff

I really hate movies like this... because I don't know if I'm just old and unhip, so I'm missing some kind of noveau movie making style, or the reason I'm so confused is just because it's a bad movie and was a waste of my time to watch.

I wasn't sure how well this movie could be done. Anything with kids is kind of dodgy/taboo territory.

Will they understand it's fake...and how well can they actually act? But...kids are creepy and evil, anyway, so I was intrigued.

They ended up being the best part of the film.

As for the rest of it...I think a What The...????? is appropriate. Was there a storyline? I was so bored in the beginning all the way until the kids due to wondering what I was watching that, if there was a storyline, I lost it, way back.

Who was the old man? A mad scientist or a doctor trying to save the infected kids and himself?

Why was the group in the woods in the middle of nowhere and then suddenly in the city?

As I said...am I unhip or was this movie just...bad?

I think it was the latter.

Was scrolling through prime and saw that this had 4 on imdb so I thought well maybe it's watchable, I don't read reviews before watching. Almost all rewievs of this movies are from bots so that explains the rating, what a shame.

The story made absolutely no sense, couldn't care less about the characters and it felt like the movie would never end even though it was short.

At least there was zombies as promised, how and why there were zombies though? Not even the writer could explain that.

This movie is my best horror movie. The story is based on true events wich makes the movie even more scary especially if it's well played. It has a lot of moments where you think there will be jump scare but in the end it's nothing and thats what makes it so scary yes but not always. Just in the right moments.
