The short was originally going to be shot with the Red One camera, but the day of the shoot, the rental company sent the Red Epic instead because the previous was unavailable.
Yerlin Vásquez was cast on location the second day of shooting, when the director noticed her drawing on the street in front of her house. She had a striking resemblance to Laura Angelina, so he decided to improvise a little flashback scene which ended up on the final cut.
