When Murphy states that the Good Book says "seven lean years shall be followed by seven fat", he is getting the order backwards. In Genesis 41, the reverse is true. Seven good years will be followed by seven bad years. Joseph interprets Pharoah's dreams as a warning that Egypt should store grain and food during the seven good years in preparation for the seven bad years.
