Being straight up
X Yes X sort of gives a clue as to what this short film is ultimately about.
We see scenes in colour as Marie's mother is giving birth in Haiti. Now Marie has grown up and is about to get married to Fred. She is nervous, her mother knows it. Marie has also been seeing a therapist but she is refusing to tell everything about herself to Fred.
Fred's friends are concerned. One of them tells Fred that he saw Marie with someone but he refuses to believe him. With the ceremony about to take place it all gets too much for Marie who runs away from the ceremony and feels she needs to come clean to Fred.
This short was mainly made in black and white apart from the Haiti flashback scenes. It deals with who you really are and the truth about yourself. It is well made although some of the acting is a bit on the flat side which tends to be the case with these low budget short films.
