  Kara Danvers : [chuckles]  You read them?

  Cat Grant : I did. I did. 2017... and they have Wi-Fi in the Himalayan mountains. But you, my dear, are on a hero's journey. Like Joseph Campbell would say. And, yes, you have hit a bit of an obstacle, but you will soar right over it just like I would. Except, of course, you... won't be wearing Louboutins.

• Mon-El : [forced to leave Earth to escape lead in the atmosphere]  There's something I need to say. Wherever I go, I'm gonna be better because of you. You'll be in my heart. I promise I'm gonna be the man that you thought I could be. I promise.

  Supergirl : [starting to cry]  You've made me so happy. Here.

  [giving him her necklace] 

  Supergirl : Here. Take this. Take this. This will keep you safe.

  [they kiss] 

  Supergirl : I love you. I should have said it before.

  Mon-El : I love you.

  [Kara chuckles awkwardly and turns to leave] 

  Kara Danvers : [to herself]  Oh, god, I hope Rhea kills me.

• Kara Danvers : [snuggled in bed with Mon-El]  Let's just stay here a little while longer, okay?

  Kara Danvers : 'Till tomorrow.

  Mon-El : Hey, you always wear this. It's beautiful.

  Kara Danvers : Yeah, it was my mother's.

  Mon-El : Really?

  Kara Danvers : Yeah. She gave it to me the day I left Krypton. I had just watched little Kal-El launch into space. Our world was falling apart around her, and even in the middle of that, she looked at me and smiled and said as long as I had this, I would never be alone. She'd be with me in my dreams. I know we can't stay all day, but let's just stay a little while longer, please.

  Mon-El : But Kara, you're not here.

  Kara Danvers : What?

  Mon-El : You're in the Fortress.

  Alex Danvers : [as Kara jerks awake in the Fortress of Solitude]  Hey. Hey, you're okay.

  Supergirl : What happened?

  Alex Danvers : You passed out and then you woke up, flew us here, and passed out again.

  Cat Grant : In exchange for?

  Clark Kent : A request. She'd like to tone down the, um... gee, how do I put this? The... sensational tone that the battle's been receiving in the media.

  Cat Grant : I don't know how I can do that. People are finally starting to fight. Finally starting to stand up.

  Kara Danvers : Supergirl doesn't want anyone showing up and getting hurt.

  Clark Kent : And I don't know anyone who cares more about the people than you do, Ms. Grant.

  Cat Grant : Once again, Kansas, you're the only person who really gets me.

  Clark Kent : I try.

• Alex Danvers : What did Lilian want?

  Superman : Lilian and Lena have a way - a fail safe - to get rid of the Daxamites if Kara doesn't beat Rhea.

  Supergirl : It's a device that will seed the Earth's atmosphere with lead. No Daxamite would survive on this planet.

  Winn Schott : What... except for Mon-El, right?

  Superman : Mon-El might be able to survive a little longer than the others; he's been exposed to our yellow sun for a few months.

  Mon-El : Well, if it comes down it, you use it. I won't be the reason this planet suffers.

  Supergirl : No. No, it's not gonna come to that. I told Lena to start working, but I want to be very clear about something. We will not have to use that device. And I'm going to beat her. Your mother is going to leave. For good.

• Superman : You okay?

  Supergirl : Of course. I did the right thing.

  Superman : I... think it goes far beyond the right thing. I couldn't have done it, Kara.

  Supergirl : You don't have to try to make me feel better.

  Superman : I'm not. I'm humbled by you. I'd like to think that if it came down to a choice between Lois and the world, but... I don't think I could. You are so much stronger than me. Stronger than I ever will be.

• Alex Danvers : Winn, what's happening here?

  Winn Schott : Oh, uh, yes. J'onn is still unconscious, unfortunately, but he's stable. Uh, we've cleared all Daxamite soldiers from the building.

  Supergirl : Uh, we might have found a way to get rid of the Daxamites in the archives at the Fortress of Solitude.

  Mon-El : What?

  Supergirl : Dakam Ur.

  Mon-El : No. No, no, no. No way in hell.

  Supergirl : It's the only option we've got.

• Mon-El : You just invoked a trial by combat created by barbarians. It's been around since we crawled out of caves on Daxam with rocks and sticks.

  Supergirl : If I win, she goes. They all go. They are bound by ancient law to leave this planet in peace. She's not gonna win.

  Mon-El : But what if she does? Do you know what will happen? You'll have to stand by and watch her walk this planet trampling everyone underfoot.

  Supergirl : I just have to beat her. And I will.

  Mon-El : Why not Superman? Isn't this his fight, too?

  Superman : [entering]  It's everyone's fight. But Kara just defeated me. She's the champion of Earth.

• Superman : What is it?

  Supergirl : I just... I feel like I'm on the brink of having everything I've ever wanted. Family, friends, a job I love, a life as a hero I never could have imagined. And Mon-El. If I beat Rhea, I get to keep all that. I don't know. I... I don't if it's possible. I don't know if it's possible to have everything you want.

  Superman : Well... it is. But only because you've worked for it. Whenever I fight, no matter who it's against, where it is, I'm always fighting for Lois. I fight with her right here.

  [indicating his heart] 

  Superman : The people we love, they're, uh... they're another secret super power. Keep 'em with you.

• Alex Danvers : There was a moment this year where I felt completely broken, when I regretted a choice that changed my life. And then you forced your way into my home, wrapped your arms around me, and you said "I'm proud of you." Didn't make me feel any better at the time, but... it was something to hold onto. I am so proud of you. Do... do you want me to stay over tonight? I mean, I can be there as long as you need me.

  Supergirl : No. No, go be with your girlfriend. I need to know you two are happy. Like I want to know about Winn and Lyra, J'onn and M'gann, and Clark and Lois. It's not like everybody else's world stopped. You don't have to act like it.

  Alex Danvers : What do you need right now?

  Supergirl : Just... never let her go. Okay?

• Supergirl : I feel like...

  Alex Danvers : You got punched by Superman?

  Supergirl : Repeatedly.

  Alex Danvers : Yeah.

  Supergirl : [nearby, Superman wakes up]  Kal.

  Superman : Kara?

  [she hugs him, relieved he's himself again] 

  Superman : What happened?

• Superman : Silver kryptonite. That's a new one. The whole time, I thought I was fighting Zod. It didn't weaken me at all.

  Supergirl : It might have.

  Superman : No. No, I was at full strength and you beat me.

  Supergirl : Well, I'm just glad we're both okay. But we need to come up with a plan to defeat Rhea, or she's just gonna keep coming after us.

  Alex Danvers : And the positron cannon was the only weapon we had capable of penetrating their ships' shields. Is there anything that powerful here?

  Superman : Not a weapon. But I might have something we can use against them.

  Supergirl : What?

  Superman : Information. I feel like there was something in the archives about the early wars with Daxam.

  [he activates a screen and the Kryptonian language scrolls by] 

  Superman : You know, this really would be a lot easier with Kelex.

  Supergirl : Yeah, sorry. I kinda had to blast him.

  Superman : No, no, it's fine. It's just you owe me a new robot.

  Supergirl : Dakam-Ur. Never heard of that.

  Superman : It's old, but it might work.

• Cat Grant : What's wrong with your face?

  Kara Danvers : What? Do I... do I have something?

  Cat Grant : Well, that frown. It's causing little tiny wrinkles to sprout up under your eyes. Kira, the city has been saved from that... fashion-challenged fascist, so why do you look like your world is about to end?

• Supergirl : So, what did you want?

  Lillian Luthor : My daughter has a way to save us.

  [Lena and Lilian lead Supergirl and Superman inside] 

  Lena Luthor : [showing them the box Lilian gave her]  It's a device my brother invented to keep humans safe while irradiating the atmosphere with kryptonite. It would have made the planet uninhabitable for both of you.

  Supergirl : Well, lucky my cousin put him in jail before he could make it work.

  Lillian Luthor : And lucky for you, I found it.

  Lena Luthor : I've been studying it, and I think I can convert it to irradiate the atmosphere with lead rather than kryptonite.

  Lillian Luthor : Just a trace amount. Harmless to humans, but the atmosphere would become toxic to Daxamites. The aliens would be forced to leave, or stay and die.

  Superman : All of them?

  Lillian Luthor : Mm-hmm.

  Lena Luthor : And they could never return. Even Rhea's son.

  Supergirl : [more to Superman]  Mon-El would have to leave Earth.

  Lena Luthor : Did you know he was dating Kara Danvers?

  Supergirl : Start working.
