Emma's very much doing her bit for the war effort, assisting with the fire fighting effort, she is unhappy to see Mr O'Hara doing a piece about her and the work she does. Toby and Adil are now getting ever closer and seemingly falling in love, but during a reckless moment Mr D'Abberville witnesses intimacy between them, Adil proposes the blame be solely put on him. Tragedy strikes for young Billy, having a huge effect on the Hotel.
The characters are the main thing about this series, each of them is so beautifully drawn and performed, each has a fascinating tale to tell. The relationships are so complex. The Sonny and Betsey story is building, and will hopefully turn into something. Favourite scene of this episode had to be the one with Sonny and Betsey singing whilst bombs fall outside.
Incredible imagery once again, the bomb sites look incredibly effective, and the props like the fire engine are so authentic. Liz White is incredible.
