I like The Coroner and it's a shame it didn't get renewed for series 3. because it was developing its own identity separate from the Midsomer Murders/Doc Martin genre. Anyway, this episode is about the Beast of Lighthaven, and surprisingly the ending leaves the question open on whether there really is a beast.
Oliver Gomm, who plays the Coroner's sidekick, has a resemblance to David Spade.
The ending was a bit grim, with family affairs and possibly half- siblings and all that. There's also a sub-plot of money laundering from the local newspaper.
