A convoluted mess
tenshi_ippikiookami1 November 2016
"Soshite, daremo inakunatta" starts in an interesting fashion: Shinichi Todo's identity is stolen by an unknown person and he has to go on the run will trying to find who is behind it. It is not the most original idea, but it plays well to our fear of losing our "identity" in this 24/7-connected world.

However, it all falls pretty fast into a mess. The plot is overly convoluted, and it stops making sense pretty fast. The viewer will soon lose track of what is going on, because it will be very silly or because they won't care much anymore. And it is a pity, because characters that have to fight against a system that has turned on them are always interesting. In the end, it is all just too silly to believe.

The acting is average. You have some famous Japanese actors, but they don't strain their acting muscles. Tatsuya Fujiwara, as Shinichi, falls into his I-will-look-bewildered-face acting and just runs around and shouts a lot without making the character particularly interesting. His range is not great in the show. All other actors just keep more or less the same level.

All in all, below average and not very interesting TV show to maybe have on while doing something else, like folding socks.
