Ominous historical mistake and cliché ever, 2 June 2017

The show is not very good, specially when compared to the White Queen, but in episode 6 everything goes South.

Our characters travel to Spain to meet the so called Catholic Kings, the Queen of Castille and Leon and the King of Aragon respectively as Spain was not a unified entity yet. They get to Granada and visit La Alhambra, all right, it was never the the seat of the Crown although it was used several times as residence. That said when the Spanish Princess comes out, a young girl, she does nothing but start to dance flamenco while the Royal Entourage follows her clapping like in an X Factor audition, I almost fell from my chair.

Let's go step by step, Spain was starting its Empire in expansion back them plus its interest across the Mediterranean Sea, I doubt the Kings and official spend the day dancing around each other, same way I doubt the Princess would not be elite educated (for the standards of the time) like in any other Crown in Europe, she had foreign tutors indeed.

So not happy with sticking to a sort of tourist trap cliché it also fails to understand that Flamenco would not appear until centuries later, oldest references are almost in the early 19th century. Producers would have discovered this with a simple Wikipedia search. It is like if any other foreign official visited England in the show and is welcomed by the Beatles or Dr. Who in Tights.

...for the closing...the Spanish Royal Guard seems to be wearing Armour from Game of Thrones really...awful.

What a shame!
