Imagine if neurofen, paracetamol, codeine, morphine and aspirin was illegal? Would you seek to take it illegally?
How much pain would we have in our lives? None in comparison to the people in this documentary.
A truly powerful eye opening and educating documentary on this subject, so much so that I'm writing a review.
If you suffer daily with excruciating pain from MS or cancer (to mention only two amongst many of the other diseases out there) would you take a concoction of 10 variously prescribed painkillers and medication daily (that taken long term can have serious effects on vital organs of your body) and that barely help your pain levels and day to day quality of life, or instead of these tablets smoke/eat a herb (currently illegal in this country) that actually helps relieve pain to a manageable level hence really enhancing essential daily quality of life (more so than the currently available prescribed medication)?
If this herb was medically available in the UK (as it is in many other countries), we would not only be offering more effective pain relief to people, it would be medically controlled, relieve some of the black market demand and therefore relieving a percentage of our valuable police forces time that is spent on the black market. Patients would also not be faced with funding crime and breaking the law (just for pain relief).
I don't think people understand how cannabis works and effects your body in its gentle way because it is labeled and associated with the word "street drug". It's not as though we are asking to legalise heroin or LSD.
Surprisingly (to some), if you run a little research, alcohol is rated the most dangerous drug in the World.
Keep up the fantastic work Clark French and your wonderful team – IT WILL (IS) HAPPEN(NING) and we all live more fulfilling lives with less pain in a country where this amazing herb is medically legal and available to all that would find it immensely beneficial as it is in other countries.
