At the start of the Incoherence (Delirious (William Hunter Johnston) and Hallowicked (Robert Goodwin))-Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno (Nicolas Dansereau) and Stupefied (Marc Dionne)) match, Delirious mocks Player Uno for being "8-bit" while Delirious and Hallowicked are "1080p" and "HDTV." Player Uno's nickname is "The 8-Bit Luchador."
This was Fire Ant's third time entering the Young Lions Cup tournament.
The significance of Vin Gerard missing with the Standing Shooting Star Press during the tournament final is that the same move was his finisher as Equinox, and it showed him returning to that gimmick's lucha roots, as Gerard had basically declared war on all of CHIKARA's masked wrestlers.
During the Incoherence-Super Smash Brothers match, Delirious and Player Uno are arguing about the merits or lack thereof of various video games and systems. Delirious mentions "3DO," with Uno responding, "Get out!" The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer was introduced in 1993 amid a lot of hype. It was very expensive, due to the company having to license the production of the games to third parties, and an oversaturated market led to the system and the company itself ultimately failing.
The clip of the first six minutes of the Incoherence-Super Smash Brothers match, featuring Delirious saying, "Princess Peach is a tramp!" was posted to YouTube and is often acknowledged by fans as their introduction to CHIKARA.
