Dr. Winter can hardly believe it: Chief Inspector Becker asks him for support in a murder case. Of course not as an investigator, but in his job as a psychiatrist. Winter is supposed to talk to nine-year-old Tommi, who must have seen his father's murderer and is in shock. Although time is of the essence, family conflicts make treatment more difficult: the desperate mother is no longer allowed to approach her son since the divorce and the grandmother is ruthless in ensuring compliance with the court's order. In order to obtain an exception, Winter agrees to a deal with prosecutor Karmann, who is concerned about his poor health: if she supports him, he will retire after the case. This time, for once, Winter does not interfere in the work of Chief Inspector Becker, who is targeting the murdered man's brother and main rival, the major brewer Mantler. Meanwhile, Alexandra wants to push her internet blog with an exclusive story about the bitter brewery war and secretly accesses information from Winter's smartphone.
