In the first week of the filming of Unbridled in Raleigh, North Carolina, there was an ice storm that rendered a normal 10-minute drive into a 2-hour drive for some of the cast & crew. But the problem with shutting down for a day was that actor TC Stallings would not have been able to finish all 5 days of his film schedule since he was scheduled to speak before 2,000 people in Las Vegas immediately following his last scheduled day on set. So, there was no choice but to shoot since that would have shut down the production. So, Executive Producer agreed to pick up all cast and crew who didn't have snow tires or who felt uncomfortable driving under the conditions. Everyone made it on set to finish the day's shoot to stay on time but it was a close call.
In the middle of the filming of Unbridled at the Edelweiss Farm in North Raleigh, North Carolina, there was a tornado headed toward the Unbridled set. Producer Christy McGlothlin calmly escorted the entire cast and crew into the basement of the only house on set. It was quite cozy. One hour later, the all clear signal was given and the filming resumed as if nothing happened.
The movie Unbridled was based largely on the real life ministry of Corral Riding Academy that admits about 20 challenged teens per year and has about 500 volunteers and staff mentoring the 'herd' girls for restoration and redemption.
