One of my very 1st reviews was for the Disney show Stuck in the Middle, and since it's my favorite TV show, I rated it a 10/10.
However, I ceased to note that this is the one episode that I would NOT rate a 10 due to 2 contradictory lines that I hope the cast and crew notices if they have not.
In this episode, the main character Harley Diaz(played by my celebrity crush Jenna Ortega) is on a reality show for an invention that she made. It's called The Pick Me Up, a vacuum that plays music and dances. While describing it, she says: "It even has a camera to record your moves."
Okay-weird but fine. However-under 20 minutes later, she catches the camera people bad mouthing the family with the vacuum footage. She confronts them about it and asks her to look at said vacuum footage.
"What do you mean video? It's a vacuum?" The director asks.
Harley then says: "With a hidden camera that was there THE WHOLE TIME."
"It even has a camera to record your moves."
"It was there THE WHOLE TIME!"
I can't believe that was missed. Maybe it's not a huge deal, but that's still a serious flaw!
Otherwise, I adore Stuck in the Middle. I'm listening to one right now at 12:23 in the morning! (It's one of my favorites-Stuck in the Diaz Awards.)
But this is still my least favorite episode, because of those 2 poorly thought out lines. Luckily, that improved overall afterwards.
