Warning: Spoilers
I had a pleasant surprise watching last weeks pilot for Rush Hour the series and now after establishing the characters we get a more original second episode that is both very funny and full of top notch action.

Carter and Lee are on the case of a bunch of robbers who kill the wealthy in their homes. They get help from Carter's cousin Gerald who is wearing a watch that was stolen from one of the crimes but as he is banged up they break him out 48 Hrs style to help find those involved.

I think this was a stronger episode than the pilot with better acting and more action scenes plus I found myself laughing much more especially at Carter and the actor Justin Hires has the same quick talking and loudmouth style of the film character played by the great Chris Tucker and like how the series focuses more on him than Lee rather than the films that focused I feel on Jackie Chan's Lee more.

As for Lee the actor Jon Foo is still no Jackie Chan but his acting is stronger this time plus this guy is extraordinary at not only martial arts but also parkour type chase scenes that sees him climb, run and jump in amazing ways and he feels like a younger Chan which is awesome.

Other stars like the stunning Aimee Garcia as Didi(this lady wow)and another beautiful lady Wendie Malick as Captain Cole are great but the other star here was Gerald the cousin of Carter played with such humour by Page Kennedy who builds on the character seen in the first film briefly as he plays a dumb, big guy but with a heart who makes Carter look like the most clever person around,i hope this guy sticks around.

The humour was top notch here and most funny moments came from Carter who delivers so many quick fire lines including calling a pickpocket they meet 'a reject from One Direction' plus great moments with his cousin that includes saying about his weight in prison plus mouthing off at him whilst handcuffed to a pole. Also loved the running joke about the plot of buddy thriller movie 48 Hrs which made me chuckle each time and the funniest two scenes included Gerald first when he asks some girls if they had seen a smaller sized Morris Chestnut(about Carter)and running at a door to break it down but knocks himself out in the process. The other funny moments are when Carter kept trying to guess Lee's name which included calling him Bruce like Bruce Lee and in a homage to the films Lee Jackie like Mr Chan.

The action was a true highlight of this episode with the parkour style chases including Lee(this guy is amazing like Jackie Chan)plus a truly epic 3 minute or so shoot out towards the end that included Lee and Gerald handcuffed together but kicking butt still,Carter getting to have a decent fight and cool shooting,as good as any in the movies.

Its still not as good as the RH films but its not trying to copy it as its got new stories plus this Carter can take care of himself more.It like the first was fun, action packed and has genuine humour that is never forced with a brilliant supporting character in Gerald and some beautiful ladies for the boys to work with,i can see this series lasting and i'll be watching.
