Great concept, well executed and genuinely funny at times. I can imagine it keeps the flame of hope burning for countless viewers. So why would I only rate it at 5/10? .... well, I'm an Aussie and when I watch the local version, I am always reminded of how so many of the daters are naive, immature and well ... typically Orstralian. There's a lot of egalitarian bogans getting onto this show; yes every now and then there is a completely magical couple; kudos to the producers who have exceptionally good skills at matching people. But at the end of the day it is what it is. I wish I could be exceptionally proud of the Australian character but it's impossible to do so. What is even more telling, is this is produced in Sydney which means it has the best opportunity, as Sydney can bring out the best in people. However, Australia is a third world country masquerading as first world and it is mirrored in the mindset of the ambassadors of this lightweight entertainment extravaganza.
