An act of civilization is an act against nature
Ladiloque25 March 2018
Here we have another episode of the rather recent genre of the cultural integration comedy/drama. This iteration is on the comedic side. Neither refined nor original it succeeds in avoiding the worst possible outcome: boredom. It's hard to point out how the absence of subtle irony, freshness, realism and depth still achieves something watchable but - at least for me - Babylon Sisters does it. Well... BS is mediocre, but still better than most of what we are offered. A tale of ignorance looking for a living in contemporary Italy, a country made of bureaucracy, elderly people and immigrants. For a feel good 1,5 hours, some time together with your usually raped brain and a couple of hits to your western middle class sensitivity, BS represents a nice specimen.

Enjoyable comedy/drama, not too deep but manages to be entertaining. Did not waste my time.
