Official Captive State Synopsis Teases Sci-Fi Thrills Set In The Windy City

Scott’s Favorites of 2016

4 January 2017 3:16 PM, PST | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Hey there, everyone! I sincerely hope this finds you all well (or at least coping) and eager (or at least willing) to take on a new year. I love doing year-end lists. For me, it’s a time of reflection, as well as expansion. Since I started with Daily Dead in April of 2015, my horror-view continues to grow; I’ve been so fortunate to meet and speak with some enduring legends of the genre, not to mention strike many new friendships through social media. It really has been a great year; unfortunately, I’ve missed some goodies, but dammit, I tried. So, without anymore ado whatsoever, here are a few (okay, a lot) of my favorite things from 2016.

We're back with our annual list of favorites here on Daily Dead. For those that are new to Daily Dead, we handle our year-end lists differently here. Rather than just covering films, our lists can extend to TV, games, collectibles, events, and anything else genre-related. In short, we’re sharing with you a list of our favorite horror experiences from 2016.

Check back every day this week to find out what made the cut for the rest of the Daily Dead team.

Train to Busan: I predict that we’ll look back at 2016 as the year when zombie-mania started its decline from the insane levels we saw when The Walking Dead regularly smashed its own ratings records and World War Z was a surprise box office success. With that said, don’t let zombie fatigue keep you from boarding the Train to Busan.
