Another Very Satisfying Installment in A Great Season 4

"The Texan", 8th episode of "Ray Donovan" season 4 was a very satisfying installment. It wasn't as gripping and episode 7, but only because previous episode has more action shale we say. That said, this particular episode as well as the whole season 4 so far is just great. I'me enjoying this season very much so far, and now when only 4 episode left i'm highly looking forward to see where this season will go and how it will end.

Overall, while episode 8 didn't moved story forward, "Ray Donovan" for me never was only about the plot. Its great writing, super solid acting by everyone involved and solid directing of each episode were always driving force to keep on watching this show.

It may be formula, but it's exceptionally well executed formula, delightfully played for the decades of homage available. This is one of the best ensembles I've ever experienced.

Last appearance of Hank Azaria

The Previous episode marks the last on screen appearance of Hank Azaria / Ed Cochran At the start of this show, Ray delivers Hank his money to his hospital room which is next to the "texans" but the camera does not follow Ray inside and we don't see Hank again for the rest of the series. (unless the data on IMDB is wrong)
