Unusual format, but one that's very effective.

The death of a young woman sparks am investigation, and soon details of other crimes start appearing.

The Detective on the case struggles to get any leads, but out of the blue, an inmate gives Detective Mike Ciesynski some vital clues as to the identity of the killer.

I really enjoyed it, initially I found the format a little difficult to deal with, I love documentaries and dramas, this was the balance of the two, somewhere in the middle, and once you get used to it, it works very well.

The acting was excellent, so often with this kind of format, the acting is an afterthought, here though, they went for real talent, Brendan Fehr and Conrad Coates are both really good.

Very good. 8/10.

Why they used a new car !? It got me convinced? Is it 90's or 2020 ?

They just keep getting it right!

They just keep hitting home runs! This was yet again another excellent episode. It tells the story of the murder of a pre-school teacher. And the effects of that murder on her friends, and family. This was a good telling of a horrible story. And they do it again in the same way they have been since this relatively new series was kicked off, just eight episodes ago. This and all the other stories have gravitas. And that's because of the quality of the production. It starts with dark and moody introductory graphics and blends that with an equally moody retelling of this, and all the previous stories. The lighting and production values are incredible for a relatively small TV series. And not only does it look great. The way the story is re-told (written) is gripping. You feel what these people went through before, during, and after this investigation. This is, in my opinion, one of the best documentary style factual re-telling of major crimes that's ever been done. If you enjoy watching these kinds of shows. You will not be disappointed by this episode or any of the others.

Historical inaccuracy

Can we talk about the iPhone selfie of the victim within the first 8 mins? Isn't this supposed to be 1997?
