Worst adaptation

Anwar Says: Casting Bay is a true company which chooses the right person for right character of a movie and the perfect example is this remake of a Korean movie of the same name. But in spite of the perfect cast film fells down. Could have been a perfect comeback for Sonam Kapoor but long drawn scenes and predictable every next sequence made it a boring one.

Purab Kohli, as I have said, was a perfect choice for villain but if director Shome Makhija couldn't exploit him , it's not his fault. Newcomer Shivam Saraf impresses in his limited screen presence. Vinay Pathak concentrated more on eating than playing an investigating cop. I really pity for Sonam Kapoor.

Adaptation allows plenty of room for improvisation but if the Caption of the Ship decides to use the same old methods of sailing and sink the boat,it would never find the bank of the sea. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do.

"Blind" is a movie that unfortunately fails to showcase the acting talents of Sonam Kapoor, bcz she has none. Kapoor's performance in the film is disappointing, lacking depth and conviction. Her portrayal of a visually impaired character comes across as superficial and unconvincing, leaving the audience disconnected from the story. Kapoor's inability to effectively convey the emotions and struggles of her character hampers the overall impact of the film. It is evident that her lack of acting skills becomes a hindrance, making it difficult to engage with the narrative. "Blind" ultimately falls short in delivering a compelling performance from Kapoor, leaving us unsatisfied and unimpressed.

Now, sonam kapoor is getting so low that she is buying votes to increase the rating. What a shame.

Mindless investigation crime drama

On the plot... you are searching for a serial kidnapper. Police wasn't interested to take it seriously unless people have to convince them, neither they check/find any single CCTV in whole Glasgow during their investigation. Villian was like super man, can kill anyone, reach anywhere, even after the long chase with eye witness... He didn't even see his face or identity the villian. Unnecessary drama to make it long. Except Vinay Pathak, others are just trying hard to be in the character. Useless logic in crime investigation, when they say Sonam was top cop and highest ranker. I doubt Scottish police is that dumb to conduct such stupid investigation ever.

Remakes of movie

The story opens with a blind girl who was a police officer before a vehicle accident in which she lost both her eyesight and his brother. This film is a remake of the 2015 Chinese film The Witness, which was first remade in Tollywood under the title Netrikann. Netrikann is currently streaming on Disney Host, and the Bollywood version, The Blind, has just been released. What an original method to remake a movie. I would recommend watching the Tollywood version of the film, which is available on Disney Host, in case you want to see this movie because it has a unique plot including murder and mystery.

Act blind & deaf if someone recommends you this tripe!!

Blind review :

Another week in Bollywood with yet another senseless remake; Blind is adapted from a South Korean thriller and premiered directly on JioCinema this friday. Wise call by the makers I would say, as this movie wouldn't have lasted one day in theatres. No kidding!!

A serial killer (Purab Kohli) is on the loose and only one blind (ex) cop (Sonam Kapoor) has interacted with him once. How this lady manages to nab the dangerous criminal forms the crux of this lethargic and yawn inducing screenplay.

Sonam Kapoor as the main lead, is a disaster yet again proving her supremely untalented acting skills. This movie needed a Vidya Balan, boss!! Purab Kohli fails to scare in a negative role of the psychopath doctor. Vinay Pathak is just about okey dokey as the investigating cop.

Most of the film's dialogues are in English and the few Hindi ones suck big time. The foreign locales add zero value to the plot and I wonder why the movie couldn't be based in our own swadesh!!

Unsolicited suggestion: Act blind as well as deaf if anyone recommends you this tripe. You will do yourself a big favour!!

Sonam Kapoor - The Worst Actor

If ever acting was a husband than Sonam Kapoor is a widow, such crass acting from daughter of a genius speaks volumes about the horror Indian motion pictures is going through there's a crisis of credibility.

This movie is nothing but a caricature of an English movie which was a delight to watch.

The storyline is as usual predictable and useless copy and paste, Jio cinema should be cautious in putting such crass movies .

Soman Kapoor Ahuja is well advised not to shower her histrionics to hapless viewers . In the end my advise is to drink poison rather than watch this crap.

Advice- Don't Dont Dont watch it.

Film Review: Blind streaming on Jio Cinema

She is fiercely independent and doesn't want her disability to hold her back . This is when a serial killer enters her life and starts stalking her. Will our blind protagonist come out a winner is what this film is all about.

A female protagonist with a disability stalked by a serial killer looks like an interesting subject for an engaging suspense thriller. However this isn't the case!!

Purab Kohli as the serial killer ( i am not giving up the suspense, this is revealed at the start itself) doesn't send a chill down ur spine like Aashutosh Rana in Dushman or a Prashant Narayanan in Murder 2 have shown in the past. He is quite insipid and has tried to put out his best serious, gaunt look. Unfortunately neither convincing, nor scary!!

Sonam Kapoor does well in her role and so does Vinay Pathak as a Police officer assisting her in the case!!

Not a bad film... yet it felt as if something was missing in it- jumpscare moments, element of surprise, suspense & tension were very few!!

Cudve definitely been better!! One time watch if u like Sonam Kapoor!!

Absolute Disaster

The film lacked a compelling narrative, with an absence of a coherent backstory for the antagonist. Moreover the characters in the movie (excluding the protagonist) hardly had any personality or story. The plot fixated on the life of the protagonist (Sonam Kapoor) and started off well, 50 minutes into the film the story lacked connect to the rest of the film. The movie suffered from a lack of cohesion, leaving several gaps in its overall storytelling. Moreover, the casting and acting didn't make the movie any better, failing to enhance the quality of the film. I truly can't believe how the movie has a 8.3 rating on this platform, given how horrible it was.

The film's greatest villains, played by Purab Kohli, contributed to the film's distinct charm. My curiosity for the movie's protagonist was stirred. All of the unexpected turns in the plot were executed perfectly.

I was on the edge of getting up from my seat during the entire film. The three lead performers, Lilette Dubey, Vinay Pathak, and Sonam Kapoor, all delivered stellar turns. They did an excellent job of bringing their characters to life on stage. Audiences at the movies will like this.

Sonam Kapoor makes a stunning comeback and is the film's undisputed MVP thanks to her roles in both of its incredible narrative arcs. The scenery in this film is breathtaking. The dramatic and fascinating visuals added to the stress of the story.

Worth a one or two times watch. Honestly, the plot is a little unclear and vague. A few parts are unreasonable. There has been a trial of portrayal of humour through the character of Prithvi but in vain.

Now coming to the aspects I appreciated (1) Sonam's acting was very good. She totally justified her character and absolutely suited the role. Overall she did a great job.

(2) A number of lessons (though common) you can take away from the film.

(3) Eerie setting as needed but could have been better.

(4) Beautiful portrayal of the bond between dogs and humans.

If you are free and bored go watch it.

So much potential but director and writer ruined it

Premise had a potential of having a great thriller cinema. Director and writer didn't know what they were doing, its so undercooked crime thriller that you will cringe at every moment there is a twist. Shot in London but there are hardly people on the roads at all the time.

Talented police officer turned blind runs into a serial killer and how her skills comes in to play to chase down this killer would have been great if they have incorporated great puzzles. Serial killer shown here has no impact and randomly appears and disappears. He doesn't kill people when it's easiest and that is not by design. So many flaws. Crime thriller written and directed by amateur team.

Avoid this movie from every aspect

Plot/Story/Thrill : Can I rate -ve. Mindless chase. Zero usage of cctv but they have gps. No need of preparing sketch. Killer able to kill multiple cops but failed to kill blind girl. Even that dog is wasted.

Acting: Sonam is already waste but there are other nice actors who all have wasted time and effort here.

I heard it is copied from some other movie. Have they wonder while copying or original was already bad I have seen so many thrillers but this remains worst. How can people create such mindless movie and even actors don't look at the script before signing.

Movie overall good, with good acting, and not that unique story

I can't help but wonder how much Sonam Kapoor can be disliked to warrant a one-star rating from some reviewers. If you hate someone to this extent, it raises doubts about whether you've actually seen the movie or if you've simply judged it #Blind-ly.

In 'Blind,' I discovered a compelling story that managed to hold my attention throughout. Sonam Kapoor and Purab Kohli delivered commendable performances that drew me into the narrative.

The portrayal of a character who is blind was done with sensitivity and authenticity. The film also beautifully depicted the bond between the protagonist and the guide dog, making it a heartwarming aspect of the story.

In my view, 'Blind' deserves a chance and a fair evaluation. Let's not be too quick to judge, and instead, appreciate the efforts put into bringing this engaging story to life.

Surprisingly, Purab Kohli portrayed the primary adversaries of the movie as the good guys. My interest in the movie's lead character was piqued by this. The narrative was perfect in every way. The entire video had me on the edge of my seat. Vinay Pathak,Lillete Dubey, and Sonam Kapoor all gave excellent performances. On stage, they were able to communicate well. A must-see for moviegoers is this. The only two interesting components of the narrative are Sonam Kapoor's comeback and her achievement. The movie has incredible visuals. The breathtaking scenery strengthened the plot and increased drama. Excellent.

The negative reviewers must be blind

Can't see why the negative reviewers are giving this such bad reviews. I am not a fan of Sonam Kapoor and is probably one of the worse child of a big star however she has done a half decent job in this. I think Vinay Pathak is the so called 'star of the show' for me, loved his character.

You are introduced to the antagonist pretty quick however this is a cat and mouse chase thriller than a mystery. Any movie that doesn't have me going for my phone is a decent watch. Forget the negative reviews and if you havnt seen the Korean version than watch this. Its a decent watch.

It's 2 hours long but doesn't seem that long.

Oddly enough, I found Purab Kohli's performance as one of the film's finest villains to be enjoyable. That got my wheels turning on the story's main character. The plot's unexpected turns were expertly executed. While watching the film, I was on the very edge of my seat. Notable performances came from Sonam Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey. They did a fantastic job of bringing their unique stage character to life. Movie buffs, don't miss this! The film only highlights two of its outstanding plot points: Sonam Kapoor's return. The visual effects in this film are stunning. The stunning visuals added to the drama and intensity of the story.

Superb acting from both Sonam Kapoor and Purab Kohli. The intensity with which they performed made the audience feel as if they were actually there. Having action sequences in it was a significant selling point. That the protagonist of The Blind Lady was present was a positive sign. Sonam is convincing in her portrayal of a blind woman. Dramatic tension between the film's heroes and villains. I was interested in seeing where the plot went from there since it gave the story depth. The twists and turns were some of my favourite sections of the story. The whole time, I was shocked and on the edge of my seat. In my opinion, there is no doubt about that.

Good Story after long time

I was thoroughly impressed by the remarkable performances of Sonam Kapoor and Purab Kohli in the movie. Fans of suspense shouldn't pass up this movie. The film did a fantastic job of mixing humour and emotion. I was always in danger of falling down the cliff. Purab Kohli and Sonam Kapoor both gave outstanding performances. Because of how genuine their performance was, the audience had a sense of being there. A good action movie needs drama, intensity, and a distinctive story, all of which are there. When the evil became the hero, it was my favourite part of the story. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Fans of suspense shouldn't pass up this movie.

The finest villains in the movie were portrayed by Purab Kohli, and it was intriguing in its own twisted way. My curiosity in the story's protagonist was piqued by that. The plot's bends and twists were expertly carried out. I was about to drop from my perch the entire time the video was playing. Excellent performances were given by Lillete Dubey, Vinay Pathak, and Sonam Kapoor. On stage, they did a fantastic job of bringing their roles to life. For movie enthusiasts, this is a must-see. Only two of the incredible tale elements are presented, but Sonam Kapoor is back and delivers a stunning performance in both. This movie features some breathtaking vistas. The captivating graphics heightened the suspense and intensity in the story.
