Return to Spoon River is a unique and beautifully shot film based on Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology. Each "segment" contains a certain member of the modern day Lewistown or Petersburg community reading a story about a character who shares similar traits with that of their 21st century counterpart. It's able to tell a great story with very little. It's simple yet magnificent story telling with beautifully done cinematography. Only thing I have against it is that for some it may be a little slow, but some of my favorite movies are slow! It's it hauntingly beautiful film that deserves much more attention!
